one thing I WILL NOT DO!! get the three pack deal!! phone, Internet and TV all in one!! they want to control the Internet!! how do you say can they do this WELLLL its there way of getting rid of the smaller provides!! people it is in the works as we speak!! there has been talk of setting it up like a phone service(i hope we never see that day) a charge for every site you get on and being able to shut site axises off to ones thy don't want you to get into! im not crazy this is true you can find info on this on youtube!!

I have the cable pkg here in Canada, I don`t use it much for TV except as a backup for ECMs during big events. Kids say there is never any weather related issues as their bedrooms are supplied by cable. As weed said you can see the big cable companies being able to corner the market very soon and basicly charge at their discretion. However, on the short term, the pkg does give me quite a considerable savings on phone & internet service. Plus it`s kinda nice seeing Bell Canada grovel for their customers back after so many years of having a monopoly and treating us peons like crap. Now it`s free this and that from Bell---where were you a few yrs ago? All in all, I`m basicly spoiled like most of us in this hobby because nothing any of these providers have to offer can even come close to what we have now----and yet there are those of us that complain !! Imagine having to look at Cndn cable from now on & paying for it !!

Fios will win out every time ...you can not beat fiber and there are no cables run..they hook a box to the side of the house just like the phone box and it sends your signal all over the house, video, high speed IP, phone and anything else they with come up with like VOD
