| The other day Rene made a post in recipes re possum soup that I referred to as road-kill broth and weed made a post re eating fried heart. Those posts reminded DimeCFH & I re a game we started a couple years ago on another site that took off like a rocket as many members loved it & joined in, so we decided to try it here ans see if our members enjoyed playing it. It started when I had made a comment re eating calves heads & a soup called Margaritsa made from the inards & brains of a baby lamb at Greek Easter----many members joined in citing their own ethnic or just plain " I dare you" foods for us to try. We tried the most disgusting foodstuffs that could be purchased at most Supermarkets, delis or ethnic centers. Each member goes one at a time preferrably simulcast on this site. Whatever the choice one makes has to be approved by the playing members or even chosen by the members, it has to be an actual food entity that can be purchased in a store or the like found on the internet ( no home recipes like ice cream & tuna fish topping). Obviously some foods are regional and are unavailable in some areas. This is all on the honor system--if you post your eating it--you ate it as far as we`re concerned. A taste consists of at least a tablespoonful. A COMPLETE description, a blow by blow description of what it looks like , it`s ingredients, it`s texture etc etc as well as it`s taste & any residual effects is a must during the simulcast post (as it happens) as that is the best way to get any knee-jerk reaction to what you just ate ( NO tasting it first !!). Examples that have been tried live were Livermush by DimeCFH & Jellied Head Cheese by me. Anyone up for Ralph`s Potted Meat in milk gravy ????? Libbys makes one too. We dare you ................... |

| potted meat LOL I CAN EAT THAT WITH NO PROBLEM!!!! i do all the time!! red devil potted meat is great on crackers!! yum yum!! na i think we need a few head cheese eaters here!!! anyone up for some good old head cheese?????? i love it pan fried with a little syrup on top!!

![]() Alright y'all. I've got a small can of Rose Brand Pork Brains with Milk Gravy in front of me right now. Ingredients are as follows------pork brains, milk, less than 2 percent water, corn starch, and salt. Nutrition Facts--------total fat-7.5 grams, cholesterol- 3,190mg or 1,060%, sodium- 500mg, protein-14g. This is per 1 serving which is 1 can or 2/3 cup. It's pinkish. It looks like tuna mixed with mayonaise. Very rotten smell. The taste is very irony and extremely rotten aftertaste. It is absolutely horrible. I ate it topped on a Ritz cracker. Then, like a dummy, I ate another. Laugh it up y'all... If you enjoyed, Please hit the THANK YOU button.

| hah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's nothing. While I was attending high school and in particular science classes we were told we would have to disect some frogs, live ones at that.... Well needless to say I was a real joker back then and while trying to gross out a few of the girls I cut into the frog I was given and ripped out it's heart, stomach and lungs and popped them in my mouth and laughed as I watched the girls run to the sink to lose their lunches as I happily chewed away on frog intestines.... the texture....no worse then undercooked chicken. the taste....sickeningly bitter.

| Ok----here`s the real test. While playing ball in the southwest I heard of a delicacy along the southern borders of Texas etc. I never would try it even if I came across it but I never was able to find any. It`s called Huitlacoche, a fungus from corn that the Mexicans eat. It comes in a can and considers itself to be quite a delicacy. Any of you good ol` boys wanna take a shot at this crap?? I couldn`t even look at it & keep my lunch down. BTW---only places that would be aware would be southern Texas & California. |

What formaldehyde??? Ours were live LOL The frogs intestines contain an acid that is very slimy and bitter. This is why only the legs are normally eaten. The inners can actually cause many maladies none actually fatal but a good case of botulism is not something anyone should look forward to. Mind you it was actually nothing compared to the slug puree........... hee hee hee

| Slug Puree ya say? That thought just makes me sick. Thick, slimy, and I bet very bitter and rotten. Thats awful.
