Things you should know about all DSS Sites(Fta sites)

1. Always make sure that you know where site database (member info) is hosted .
Best that they are not in USA or Canada. There is a difference between where domain is registered and where site is hosted. The important one is where it is Hosted so that you can protect your Members and your self from trouble .

2. All sites log your IP Address .
You may think that by using a Proxy they cant get me but the truth of the matter is that anything can be traced when right people are looking so make sure you always check where site is host .

3. FTA files are free.
All the sites out there need help to pay for hosting, this one included. It is not easy to pay for bandwidth these days since we cant use Canada or the USA anymore .

Make sure to support you favorite site(s) and help them, who ever they are .

4.This is a hobbie.
This should not be your only source of TV. All our staff here pay for TV and we encourage you to do the same and keep it safe .

5. Don't wait till your test unit is not working.
Visit your favorite sites every day and read the latest News. Try to keep up with latest thing that are going on, by reading the posts in forum. This is what helps all sites stay alive and keep their Membership informed.

6. Remember that the Staff in all sites are volunteers. They do not get paid. So please do not treat them as if they owe you something.

7. Some sites feel safe:
By forcing people to register to see stuff, thinking that this way sat companies cant see what they doing .

In my opinion, this is BS. They can all just register same way you did and read what is available to all. So dont let these false feelings of safety blind you because a site just say so. The site is secure only when the database is secure. For example: With our system, we make certain to have extra protection for our databse because we try our best to keep our members account safe. We do not to try to trick them into registering so they think they are safe because you cant read unless you register.

8. Coders registering in some sites.
Who in their right mind would admit to begin a coder ? Be careful of these people. If they are stupid enought to admit that they are coders, they may be stupid enought to make other mistakes that could affect you .

9. Some sites use a little trick to look as they have 500+ members online all the time to trick people to think they are very active . Do you ever try to log to one and see only a few new files out and sometimes you cannot log on? Sometimes this is because they set cookies to high that server think there are too many connections. Do not be fooled to become or pay for vip under those practices.

Here at fta-gods.com we have cookie set low so every one has a chance to download for free but we have a max number set to keep site alive for our vip onces site have less that max number site is open automatic. This is is done by a software not manually like some people do.

Future plan is to allow vip during prime time first them free members all this done by software. Like I said before, automatically, not a person doing this manually to pump membership. Our goals is different, it is to give priority service to vip rather then worry about getting more members.


10. Scam list or list of site busted :

Is important to keep a eye on these list for they are not 100% accurate. If someone doesn't like your site and has access to enter your site to post those list they will .

But still I encourage you to read them but make your own judgment.

11. Site going underground:
some site are using a new method of going underground some for security some to just scam people.
A.For security grrrr hey is not like dish peeps cant buy membership!! but they seen to think other wise .
B.For scam they say will go underground get lot of money from people and some times close after and open a new website other just to trick members to pay lot of money .

Now that you know all this, please remember to always check all these things before joining any other site out there.

11.Read every site Rules .
12.Make always sure you post in right section is annoying to staff in all site to spend time cleaning someone else mess.
13.never buy hardware from any staff in any site if possible .
if that person get busted you are in trouble.
14.never buy FTA units that was modify by dealer or ant member of any site.
15.avoid buying FTA clone when possible.

when a site get busted owner is force by court to give away SQL Data Base
thats where all members information is save.

also to add to this is we are here to help and like it was said we do it for free
Most of the staff have been in this hobby at least 10 year or more in 1 form or another
Also most of the staff are Eng or have a lot of computer and electronics time
We like it has been said we do this as a hobby ...because a sub will not go down and to get more ppl to sign up for programing they give you a week or more of free programming to get you to up your sub
We also said get a sub so you do not go without service it is fair to the programmers and also it keeps you with something to watch
also we enjoy the help the member submit because there is no one that know everything
We try to have the newest versions on time..it may be a bit longer than other site because most of the staff test the files first before postings to keep you safe..so you may have to wait a bit to get a good file
Again the reason to have a sub
and the most important thing is the contribution
none of it is for the staff it is for the site only it keeps the site up if we do not get we need it comes out of the owners pocket
Also we want our members as a family and want to treat the members as so ...so we expect the same from you
we want you to make this place our home and you will see that it is going to improve all the time
So please read the rules and follow them and before you post look and see if it has been posted before...it keeps the bandwidth down and double posts
And 1 more thing the staff is out to get spammers and child porn we do not allow it and you will be banned and will not have a second chance...even the owner will tell you the same this...fact is he has all ready
