I Miss My Buddy------------

It`s a family tradition in our house on Thanksgiving Day for each person sitting at the dining room table staring at the lavish feast put in front of us to give a short thanks for something personal--anything he or she feels necessary to add to our Thanksgiving Day. Yesterday, due to family restraints, we celebrated Thanksgiving Day in our house.
It came to my attention a while back that one of our respected,retired staff members had become ill-----that member is my buddy--- cougar. I sorely miss the little squealing weasel each & everyday as I surf this site. Cougar has been around FTA since the invention of dust and has helped and advised so many of us I`d lose count. For a while now I don`t see anymore of his threads or posts that I could trash or hijack, making a mockery out of it,---- hearing him wail & scream and then threaten to squeal on me. So---when it came to my turn to give thanks at our table yesterday---I thanked FTA gods, that`s right, a Thanksgiving Day thanks to a sat. site, I thanked them for introducing me to a friend I will have for life. A stubborn old goat that I love to pester---my buddy cougar.
Last week one of our newer members wrote something in the "rant" section about our administration & mods playing God and the fact he didn`t care for the "mindless" threads & posts put on this site. I met cougar on some of these "mindless" threads---- as we proceeded to completely trash many of the said threads we became good friends. So maybe, just maybe, the threads weren`t "mindless" after all----they served some good after all. Maybe it was just those that sit back & judge without contributing who are the mindless ones.
So, get well cougar you old bastard, just let it be known that you have a whole membership---thousands strong, in your corner. Without you around to keep me in check I`ll run rampant thru everyone`s threads-----and there`s no one to squeal on me quite the way you do !!
For old times sake------here`s a big biatch slap SLAAPPPP !! for you to get well.

Very well said my friend. Cougar was always there giving me a hard time as well in those "mindless" games that you are talking about. He really helped to keep them going and to keep them interesting. As you say, I haven't seen him around in quite some time. My family and I give our prayers and thoughts to Cougar in his true time of need. I just wish he would come give me a hard time again.

OK you guys nice to have friends. I guess it is no secret I havee been battaling Cancer for 30 years 6 months ago There was no sign of any and it was time for my Catscan again and it showed I had something in my Liver so my Uroligist and Oncoligist put me in the Hospital and did a Biopsy on my liver and bladder also operated on my Prostate Ther is nothing in my bladder or prostate but that was the only good news I lost a left kidney to Cancer 3 years ago and was treated and did good for 3 years but now The Biopsy shows it is in my Liver now and stage 4 and is terminal. but like I said i have been fighting this stuff for 30 years now so I may be around a while longer. You all have a great evening I got a PM from Rene saying he repaired the site where I can get back on.

How fitting is it to see my favorite avatar and username on non other than Thanksgiving Day. Even if it`s a goofy Tiger where a cougar should be--------------now post something so I can "jack" it !!!! We`re all terminal from the day we are born, my friend, it matters not how long we are here but it`s what we do with our alotted time that really counts. Just remember, when you fall down------you got a lot of us idiots around to help you get up again. And at your age you`re lucky to get anything "up" again. LMAO
