Which is better?

I am looking for another system. I have VisionSat 200 and would love to watch tv again. I would like to have a HD box and was wondering if anyone could suggest another brand.
Thanks to everyone out there working hard for us....

Jeepgirl,

You may want to read some of the reviews in the receiver review section, or take a look at some of the disccusions under the various HD receiver brand/models. For as many boxes as are out there, you will find as many supporters for each individual box. All you can do is read, read, read until you're satisfied with a choice that fits your testing needs.

I promise not to hold anyone responsible... I understand that all the systems will go down from time to time. As long as I get tv once in a while- it is all good!

If this helps any I`ve done a ton of looking around and I`m buying a viewsat 9000 HD as soon as this N3 mess is settled. Just my choice for combo of picture, user friendly, price, support etc. Although I`ve seen nothing in writing bad re Sonicview and certainly their support is great although their HD has not been termed user friendly but I don`t know why. Again, I wouldn`t be too quick to buy anything right now (N3) unless you get the deal of the century. Hope that helped a bit anyway but like Ttoys said read the reviews of our mods & members, their take on the receivers is a lot more educated & trustworthy than the kid at Best Buy. JMO

we never recommend a fta...we only let you look at what ppl have to say...so you can make your own decision on what you want and the money you want to spend
also I see you are holding off till the n3 before buying anything..good idea that is what I am doing...i have a sub so waiting is not a big deal
so take your time

Thanks for all of the replies. Does anyone have any idea when N3 is going to take affect? I had originally heard about it in November last year. Right now with VisionSat down we have no signal at all. Hubbies getting cranky...

well it should be up enough to get your moneys worth if you get a cheaper stb for now i will say that!! there is alot of good 100.00 (or less) stbs out there if you look around pansats good 150sm 90.00 or CW ultama 100.00 or x-factor theres always the pansat 2500 i bet you could get one off of ebay for 40.00 and convert it to a 2700 but that one with out a doubt will not make it past nag3 but i bet you will get your 40.00 out of it in a month.as i said i would make it a cheapy!! we dont like to tell our people what to buy at all!! but heres a few leads to look at for what i call get by boxs.
