How to convert mpeg4 movies on ViewsatMax/VS9000 through usb

Well it can be done just follow these steps. you will need the following programs.

1. EM Total Video Converter
2. ClarkeTech Movie Converter

** ClarkeTech Movie Converter Requires Java to run **

1. Use EM Total Video Converter to convert your video to a TS video format. It recommended to use Mpeg2video setting.
2. Open ClarkeTech Movie Converter
3. Click on top button (Film auswahlen) and select your .TS converted move made in step 1
4. Enter a name for your video under Titel des Filmes:
5. Click on bottom button (Film konvertieren) and choose where to save your trp video.
6. Click on Speichern to save
7. it will create a folder with your video name followed by @xxxxxx containing all necessary files to play your video on the VS9000HD or VS Max HD
8. Rename just the folder to just your video name. (eg. old: my video@5k6787 new: my video)
9. Copy the newly created folder of your video onto your USB hdd in the VSHD folder.
10. Play your video on your VS9000HD or VS Max HD

***Warning do not rename any files within the created folder or they will not play***

Also if your TS video is of an unsupported format for the VS9000HD or VS Max HD they will not play correctly. Mpeg2video works the best which is the default setting on EM Total Video Converter for TS conversion.

I forgot to mention that you can only play the video no FF/REW due to the missing Index (.idx) file which also causes the progress bar to display incorrectly. I am still working on s/w in which creates a proper Index (.idx) file but have been rather busy and progress is very slow.
