Another dumb Canuk is duped---------

How many of you Canadians were as dumb as I obviously am to go for the 3 in1 pkg offered by Cndn cable ??? That is--a sub for Cndn cable TV, high speed internet and the phone pkg all in one bill. Sounds great, prices are reasonable etc($150/mnth)------my problem is with their service, I have been without my phones for over 2 days now because something has gone wrong with the hardware in the modem & it has to be replaced by them. When I finally got thru to them they checked out my problem and agreed it was the modem and they would put me on an emergency waiting list to get a tech here to replace the modem--that was 2 days ago. I guess me not having a phone isn`t their emergency---it`s mine so who cares !!To top off the insulting service the girl I spoke with told me they would call me before they are on their way------HUGHHH??? When I asked her how she was going to accomplish that feat she got all embarrassed and said they would call my cell--but I don`t have one. So she proceeded to get pissed & ran thru some specials they were offering for cell services & sales but when I mentioned that this was the 5th time in the last year I had been without phones due to problems on their end so why in the hell would I purchase some more services from them that didn`t work?? With that she transferred me to tech support----------anyone ever been in touch with tech for your computer??? I got some poor Pakistani or Indian that I couldn`t even fathom a word this guy way saying-----speakadee English??? I hated Bell for the way they treated their customers when they had a monopoly but they are looking better every minute I don`t have a phone. Oh yeah, they promised they`ll be here between 8am -5pm over the next day or so----glad I`m retired & have nothing to do but wait for them. Poor SOB that finally shows up---hope he`s got earplugs cause it ain`t his fault he works for idiots that can`t service what they sell.

I know exactly how you feel here in Mexico there's basically only one company for both telephone and internet so they basically do whatever they please with us the costumers if you ever dare to call costumer services they simply give you the option to either wait or find another company lmfao competition it's a joke. The laws are made to protect this company which it happens to be owned by the richest man in the planet Carlos Slim. anyways i understand how you feel however looks like it's gonna get worse for ya check this out:

I received this email from my DSL ISP provider today, and I think it is important for any and all Canadians on this board (and other FTA sites) to take a minute and check out the issue and sign the petition if they agree that the recent CRTC decision could lead to no good for the Canadian Internet consumer.

Remember, this decision, if left to stand, will leave us all with only "trust" in B3ll and Rogers/Shaw that they will do what's right for us ... something I've never known any of these ISPs to every give a damn about.

opinion on a recent CRTC decision that could allow the incumbent phone
companies (such as b3ll and Telus) to discontinue offering services
(Internet and phone) to wholesale providers which in effect would eliminate
competition in Canada.

With no competition to help fuel the market; Internet innovation could come
to stand still and prices for broadband access could skyrocket out of
control. The incumbents would also be free to do with the lines as they
please. This would open up future privacy invading Deep Packet Inspection
(DPI) technologies and direct marketing/advertising based on *you* and *your
families* internet activities and habits.

They could also use this same technology to turn the Internet into a
pay-per-website service the same way that TV is a pay-per-channel service.
Can you imagine a world where you have to pay to use the Google website to
search for information? Then, if you find what you are looking for you may
be restricted to the content because your ISP doesn't have a "peering"
agreement with said company.

Please help us stop this major potential catastrophe.

Had a like situation a while back Between my ISP server and bell .After 6 or 8 Months of haggeling over who was responsible for the poor performance of my highspeed modom and 7 new modems exchanged,the Bell techs finally came down and fixed the line,Are they wrong hell no ,just ask them.,cant be their mistake........

I got an idea---I`m going to hold back $100 off my next bill, after all I haven`t used their service for the last couple days & my time wasted----that should about cover it. Let`s just see how long I`ll last after all I still have a choice of Rodgers or bell to go with. Let`s have some fun with cable & see if I can get some freebees tossed my way----nothing to lose.

had the same thing yesterday on my D/N service...I told them I did not get the programming I have paid for and wanted it back .... they said they changed there plans and they do not cover those channels now .... but for a extra 12 bucks and a contract I can get them again .... I said no I want my channels back and do not care what you changed ... they said I do not have a contract so I was changed to what they have now
and again I could not understand a work he was trying to say
but all he could do was try to sell me everything in the world, plus insurance on there equipment if it goes bad I do not have to pay to get it fixed or replaced ..I said it is your junk and I will not pay if it goes down ... that is your problem I rent out houses and I have to take care of anything that breaks .... so it is your problem and will not pay and if it does not get fixed I will sue
And back to getting my channels back again and not paying the extra money ... and again he went into trying to sell me more stuff ... I said I want the USA boss out of Denver, CO and talk to him he said he said he can not do that ... but I could talk to his boss ... so I said let me talk to him .... he was worst in the English language than that guy was..and I said if I do not get the USA right now I will have someone in the company I know get rid of him ... I was doing business with echosphere for years before they went to D/N and he still is the head man

so I got hold of the USA office and told them if they do not get my programming back on and do not charge me for it and give me a months free programming I will take there stuff and crush it and send it back to them in a junk box and have them sign for it
and will go back to getting my programming off the BUD again like I should have stayed with
I said I have a 4DTV with a sidecar and by ala cart and get a years worth of programming for less than a months with you
so they said they will call me back ... told then they have till tomorrow and then they will get junk back and a letter from my Lawyer and told them I also recorded our conversation like they said they do ... so I am waiting I gave them time
I also said I understand that one can buy a system and get programming for free .... that got them going about being a pirate and on and on ... I LMAO just had to tell him that I saw it at a flee market and there were cops there and no one was shut down or arrested so it must be legal ... lol

a company that is being sued to death and also losing customers would look into making there customers happy .... but guess they are to rich and money is not a problem and the billions they are to pay out to TIVO and a few other places like some of the providers they sell .... I do not know about you but if it were me that was being sued and have to pay out money I would try to find as much as I could so I would not go broke

at least you guys have options you can call another company to get the service you need. here where i lived we only have one real option so we're stuck.
I read somewhere that rene just switch from Bell to Rogers and he said he's saving enough money to even pay for his stash of "blue pills" you know the ones he needs to take a leak lol

bell is in a very precarious position right now as many are moving over to rogers for both phone and internet.

I recently received a threatening letter demanding i pay the $5 outstanding from my last bill. So of course I called their customer service and told them to cancel my account.
Why should I pay these clowns an ever increasing amount for basic services?

it took all of a half hour but now I am laughing at them as not only did my bill decrease.... phone from 90$ a month to 47$ a month, dsl from 50$ a month to 24$ a month with 3 times the speed and no bandwidth cap.

but I also get free long distance for a year.

so anyone on bell should give them a call and do the same thing.
best part is I have had the service for over 2 years, first time ever being in the red (and by only5$) and for some strange reason the bill gets higher and higher each month.

Those blue pills are worth anything they want for them------I never realized it till last year !!!! LOL Thank God for good ol` Cndn health care.

They finally showed their face at 4:05pm------and wouldn`t you know it---I knew the tech guy they sent cause I coached his kid a couple years back!! I couldn`t bring myself to unleash my tirade in his lap but the second he got my phones up the cable distributor got a freakin earful 3x---cause they hung up on me 2x lol. But I have to agree totally with TD52---they just don`t freakin` care, sure it felt good to blow off some steam but if this type of service is their motto they probably hear it all the time every day so my little tirade went into the disposal as fast as it came out of my mouth----but I bet they take notice at the end of the month when I short them $100 for wasting my time & non use of their services. We`ll see what happens then cause no matter what--I`m not paying it !!! And I`m just the stubborn SOB they have nightmares about.
