Iks/slinger newbie w/twist

Hello to all,

I am just about to embark upon my IKS road-trip and am looking for a little direction.

I am down here in Mexico and have purchased a Dish model 322 and plan on using sat 110. Now, this is from a company that has taken these receivers, opened them up, made some changes, they used the term "cloned", and send them w/ a slinger N3, some adapters for my computer.

I would like to know "what" I am doing - you know, how this stuff works. If this is the wrong forum or even the wrong site, I apologize. Please point me in the right direction. All your help is sincerely appreciated.

P.s. Down here I can scarcely get a straight, qualified answer.
