Err0 - error code

My brother-in-law was upgrading (via USB) to Bin ver. 4.30.
he said all went well until the box rebooted. Then the LED
read boot then Err0. She was dead in the water............

This error is do to rewriting the firmware and a glitch whether
it be by transfer, power surge, what have you...

Here is the fix for that error:

You'll need:

Null modem cable
PC / laptop
USB to serial adapter (if no nine pin serial port exists)
Set top box

you won't need to have the box plugged into the TV.

1. plug your serial cable into your PC/Laptop & STB
2. turn your STB on.
3. Download (here) and open mVision utility
4. Click Connection > Port config (Menu buttons)
5. Auto will not work uncheck the "Auto" checkbox
6. select the proper port that your serial cable/serial to USB adapter is using
7. and hit okay
8. Next click the connect button (top left light bulb icon) circle to the right of
the connect button turns green
9. Double click Upgrade MVisionE+ STB firmware (located in the tool window to the right)
10. Click the select button and browse to the factory bin 3.11 highlight it and select open.
11. Check the firmware upgrade (Recommended) option and click upgrade.

**** It is very important you do not kill the power or stop the upgrade at anytime
during this process... after all that is most likely how you got into this predicament.****

Wait for the LEDs on the front of your STB to say 6ood... before you click OK to the popup
mVision gives you... Do not do it until then...

after your STB says 6ood click ok and cycle the power on your STB... you are now ready to
install the latest bin... setup your antennae and download your channels...
