How to setup your X1 X-Factor

[X-2U]

Starting with Factory firmware:

Using USB Memory Stick

1-Load the latest "ALL CODE" ***p.abs file (1.13p.abs), this will replace the factory G.U.I with a new G.U.I. which will have a completely new look to it. Once the new software is loaded you will be able to load bin files.

2-Load the latest "MAIN CODE" ***p.bin file if needed for the latest patch. (1.14p.bin)

Go to Menu > Installation
Press OK enter code 0000 (4 ZERO’S)

Go to Satellite list
Find the satellites you wish to use
Press OK you now see a red check mark next to that satellite you have chosen

Press RED BUTTON once (Antenna Setup)
Now edit all your setups per your liking
When done

Press RED BUTTON again (go to search)

Network = NO
Scan Mode = Present Scan
Multi Satellite Search = YES
Press OK
At this time X1 will find all possible channels

System setup:
TV system display mode (NTSC)

Local Time Setting
Adjust to your local time Example is you live in NY you should pick -500

Upgrading by USB after you added the “ALL CODE” ***p.abs file (1.13p.abs):
Menu > Tools > Upgrade by USB


How to edit your local channels: (local mapping)

Find your first local channel
1-Press OK
2-Press BLUE BUTTON (EDIT)
3-Press YELLOW BUTTON (CH#)
4-Press OK

At this time you will have a new window pop up here is where you edit your local channels.
Example Channel 8100 change that to 0007 now this channel is listed as 7
And arrow down once to save click OK
Now you noticed that 0007 and 8100 don’t show on the list this is normal.

To edit more local channels or any channel you wish just scroll down or up find next channel and go back to step #2

When done exit out to save

This feature is great if your use to cable channels or if you like channel 455 PPV Events make that to channel 0001 = 1

SORTING CHANNELS:

While viewing any channel
Press OK
Press YELLOW BUTTON (Y)
Choose your settings here most people use sort by SID

MOTOR SETUP:

Press Menu > Installation
Press OK
Enter code 0000 (4 ZERO’S)
Go down to motor setup
Here is where you add your Longitude and Latitude
Once done exit to save

CAS:
Go to Advanced
CHANNEL NUMBER BY SID = ON
SORT BY SID = ON
SORT BY SID AFTER SCAN = ON
FULL CHANNEL NAME = ON
DIPLAY PANEL = ON

ZOOM:
Press RED BUTTON while viewing any channel

Pause:
Press YELLOW BUTTON while viewing any channel

Find Search:
Press BLUE BUTTON while viewing any channel

EPG:
Press EPG (ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE)
Here you have a few options

GREEN BUTTON FOR -6HRS
YELLOW BUTTON FOR +6HRS
BLUE BUTTON FOR TIMER

LOCKING OUT CHANNELS (PORN)
View that channel you wish to lock out
Press OK
Press RED BUTTON
Press OK
Enter CODE 0000 (4 ZERO’S)

TO VIEW YOUR FAVORITE CHANNEL:
While watching TV
Press INFORMATION BUTTON

TO ADD FAVORITE CHANNELS:
GO to MENU
System Setup
Favorite

Notes:
If you do a factory Default you will lose all your TV & Radio channels plus any channel you added as favorite or local mapping
