CaptiveWorks Can I use my CW rec. with Direct TV dish?

I have a CW 600s and a DN 500Pro dual LNB dish on 110/119
I'm moving to a location across town that has a Direct TV dish but I don't know anything other than it was installed recently. Can I use my CW receiver with that dish and what do I need to do if I can?

yo it's best to use the dish pro 500 you have. normally i just us the dt dish for nimiq it only picks up one bird. now the multi head dish from dt i have use to pick up 110, and 119

my guess is you can use the dish,but not the lnb's,

If I move my dish How do I go about aligning it?

DirecTV Dish will only pick up 1 sat. I tried the same thing when I got my rec'vr. No matter what I did, I Could only get 1 sat.

Its not the dish, its the LNBs that have to be different. The DTV LNBs have an internal switch that will only let one sat be picked up at a time is what i have been told. I have 2 DTV dishes in service, one with 4 LNBs, (but only using 2 for 110 and 119) and the other dish that i used for B**, when it comes back, lol.

The Single/Dual DTV LNB's do NOT have an Internal switch in them! The Multie DTV LNB's do! You can use the DTV Single/Dual(port) LNB's for Dish/Bev Etc!! A regular Disque Switch will work fine with these!! Satguy2

Google "align your dish"! This will ask for your Location & then it will give you your Skew & Elevation etc!! Satguy2
