OTTAWA - The RCMP complaints commissioner still has concerns about how the Mounties are using stun guns.


Paul Kennedy says the RCMP needs to be more careful about firing Tasers at young people and the mentally ill. His report released today takes a detailed look at RCMP Taser use last year.


It says the Mounties' tracking and analysis of stun-gun incidents still needs improvement.


Overall, the Mounties were far less likely to fire their Tasers last year.


Use dropped 30 per cent from a peak of 1,583 incidents the year before.
