| RCMP Crackdown on FTA This is a copy and paste from a different site. The following has been reported: The RCMP in an effort to crack down on those providing Nagravision 3 support to FTA testers have been cracking down on a number of equipment dealerships in apparent raids. Equipment and customer lists have been seized by investigators. N-Fusion owner "Ravin" is reported to be in police custody. A number of additional raids have been conducted against suppliers of K-box, Neosat , Neusat, and Dreambox. All of these are the main players developing Nagravision 3 support through IKS or card sharing. Additionally, many FTA websites are no longer accessible on the net amazingly corresponding with a tough week in FTA. Lets review the following developments over the past week. #1 Team NORW fails to release any working solution for Coolsat, eBox, Homesat and Visionsat receivers. Claims a "move" is responsible for the delay. #_2 Neosat took an extended amount of time coming out with the fix to the last ECM, which in fact failed for DN. DN users have fallen back to an older working file for the IPro (v1.1) #3. Enormously popular FTA sites such as Al7bar, Future-FTA, Fta complete, HashHu and others have been inaccessible for many days now. #4. Nfusion SUNS server down for supposed maintainence. Recently announced "server upgrades" will not be performed until at least Monday/Tuesday. Too many coincidences??? Many in the community are speculating on exactly what is going on in the FTA community as of late. Some suspect the the canadian police have taken extreme action against Canadian operators that have resulted in a huge and sweeping hole in the FTA community. Should this be the case, we here solute those who have fallen on the battlefield and are resolute to carry on as best we can in what we hope is a very short absence. It may be that many are waiting for a hopeful release from custody on Monday. Echostar is most likely hoping that such a calculated move prior to the North American launch of Nagravision 3 on many Dish Network channels will squash any efforts of the FTA community to establish a working model for circumventing the new encryption model. They may have some success in that area but undoubtedly the community remains strong and committed to a knock-out punch against Echostar with a Nagravision 3 fix or workaround. Anyone with additional information on any of these matters are invited and encouraged to share with us here in the FTA community.
