LAVAL, Que. - A Quebec mother of two girls, aged 8 and 9, has been arrested in connection with the deaths of her daughters.

The girls' bodies were found Tuesday afternoon in a home in the Duvernay district of Laval, just north of Montreal. Police have not yet revealed a cause of death.

Police began searching for the girls' parents and found the 43-year-old mother early today after she was in a minor traffic accident near her home.

Police have not yet indicated if Adele Sorella has been charged.

Reports say police have been seeking the girls' father for some time on a matter unrelated to the deaths of his daughters.
