Mexican Beauty Queen, Laura Zuniga, Stripped Of Title After Drug Bust:

Mexican beauty queen, Laura Zuniga, who ended up in jail after she was picked up with a drug cartel, has been stripped of one of her titles.

Zuniga has lost the title of 'Queen of Hispanic America' "as consequence of the events known to the public in which Miss Laura Zuniga. was involved," the Bolivian organizers tell local paper 'El Deber'.

Officials says she "failed to follow the rules of the contest, which state that the winner must display correct behavior, stay away from scandals and bad habits, and be a good example to society."

The 23-year-old was arrested at a military checkpoint in Mexico while in the company of seven men who very heavily armed with multiple AR-15 rifles, pistols, cartridges, dozens of mobile phones and were carrying over $100,000 in cash.

She was ordered 40 days detention alongwith the men, who are suspected of drug trafficking and transporting weapons. It's been reported that she's the girlfriend of one of the leaders of the group, Garcia Urquizar.

Zuniga stared at the ground, trying to cover her face with her long hair, as she was lined up with the seven gunmen in front of journalists. When the former preschool teacher won another title, Miss Sinaloa, in July she gave a speech about how society should "value hardworking women more."

No word from organizers of that event on whether she will be stripped of that title as well.

Just another example of how effective a solvent drugs are - she's lost something she worked hard for just by associating herself with drugs.
