Is there still money to be made in satellite?

Oh, please.

Rupert Murdoch ditched DIRECTV because he thought it was a one-trick pony with no future. And look what happened: The DBS No. 1 has been gobbling up new subs faster than the popsicle man draws kids. (And yeah ... that's likely to slow with continued high unemployment, but hey.) ViaSat just purchased WildBlue (at a relatively low price but that doesn't negate the potential.) Mega-sat service providers like SES World Skies and Intelsat are on a roll, Arianespace seems to launch a new satellite every other week and now we even have companies selling do-it-yourself sat service kits.
