Satellite : New South American Launch Site Enters Testing

According to a report from Arianespace, construction of the new Soyuz launch site at Europe's spaceport in French Guiana reached a major milestone last week with the installation of its launch support system. The installation of the first mast -- which will provide launch vehicles with fluids and electrical connections prior to flight -- will be supplemented with a second mast to be installed later. Tests at the site will be conducted over the next several weeks, according to Arianespace.
