Satellite : HD Launch Report: Big Ten Network HD goes BIG!

According to WhereIsHD.com, Big Ten Network HD and its regional counterparts were the most added feeds for three providers last week. Time Warner Cable came in on top with 292 added HD feeds to its previous lineups, followed by Charter (213) and Comcast (155). Overall, Big Ten Network HD and its regional feeds made up for 33 percent of the total 807 added feeds last week.

This made for a very strong push in the sports HD genre. WhereIsHD.com found that 57 percent of Time Warner's additions were sports. For Charter, it was 85 percent, while Comcast it was 45 percent.

Time Warner's added HD feeds accounted for the DMAs that saw the most activity last week. Those DMAs were: Los Angeles, Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago. Charter chose to focus on the Minneapolis and Reno areas, while Comcast gave its attention to Chicago and Roanoke-Lynchburg.

HD Broadcast feeds were not accounted for in this report.
