Little Action the Week of Labor Day
According to WhereIsHD.com, a relatively low number of high-def programming additions were reported for the week of Labor Day. Verizon FiOS TV was at top with 238 HD additions for its lineups. Comcast came in with 136 additions and Charter with just 67.

Across all providers, only 552 HD feeds were added to lineups last week. Overall, The Science Channel HD and The Big Ten Network HD were the most launched feeds with 32 and 31 additions, respectively.

Both Verizon FiOS and Charter chose to launch their HD additions in only four DMAs, stated WhereIsHD.com figures. Additionally, all but four of those additions occurred in just two of their four chosen DMAs. Verizon FiOS placed its focus on the Philadelphia and Salisbury areas, while Charter focused on the Dallas-Ft. Worth and Los Angeles areas. Comparatively, Comcast launched in 17 different DMAs, focusing on Pittsburg and Roanoke-Lynchburg.

HD Broadcast feeds were not accounted for in this report.
