Satellite : Eutelsat Launch Set, Broadcom Supports Bharti Airtel

Late last week, the Hot Bird 9 satellite was positioned on top of an Ariane 5 launch vehicle, forming a dual payload "stack" that will include the W2M spacecraft. Arianespace is launching both satellites for Eutelsat. The launch services provider's year-end mission is scheduled for Dec. 20 from its launch facility in French Guiana --- Broadcom said Bharti Airtel has selected its satellite set-top box (STB) system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution to power its DTH TV services, known as Airtel digital TV.
