Satellite : DISH Gets TeleAmazonas, News from Astra and Spacenet

DISH Network launched TeleAmazonas on its DishLATINO platform. The 24-hour Ecuadorian TV network offers exclusive home match coverage of "Series A" Ecuadorian National Soccer League teams, news programs and variety shows --- European satellite operator SES Astra said it has signed, through its affiliate Astra Broadband Services, a framework contract with Spanish cable operator TeleCable to market its ASTRA2Connect satellite broadband service. The marketing push will take place in Asturias, a Northern region of Spain --- Spacenet said it has teamed with Globecomm Services to support its expansion into Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Through the effort, Spacenet said it will offer both custom and pre-packaged satellite solutions for voice, video and data communications exclusively for U.S. based enterprise and government organizations with overseas operations.
