M-1 Pushing for Fedor to Fight in the UFC

It appears as if M-1 Global is trying to make something big happen -- a cross-over the scale of Michael Jordan going to baseball, or Hulk Hogan joining the NWO. Joost Raimond of M-1 wants Fedor Emelianenko to enter the UFC for just one fight.
From the L.A. Times:

Joost Raimond, the operations manager of Emelianenko's global promotion company M-1, invited the winner of the July 11 UFC heavyweight championship fight between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir to attend the Emelianenko-Barnett bout, and pushed for the UFC to allow Emelianenko to fight that man as part of a one-fight contract on a card that could be fully promoted by UFC.
That's not the way the UFC operates, however.
"The fans can come out and push for this, and make it happen," Raimond said.

This is something that is a lot easier said than done. With a big-time promotion like the UFC, policies are seldom changed for exceptions. Rules are generally the way they are and that's that, but Raimond may have a point. If we the fans are loud enough about this issue, Dana White just may listen. Maybe if fans loudly chant "Fedor" at PPV events something will be done to bring the Russian to the Octagon.
