 Please help Hi guy's and dolls. I am the most hap handed guy you will ever meet and listend to a conversation as to all the benifits of an FTA reciever. Well i went and purchased a Viewsat VSMAX HD and have been playing with it for a couple of days. trouble is I thought it would be plug and play but guess what.....yes you know its not (I dont think). As you guys are the pros can anybody tell me in laymans terms how to get it working. I live in Northern Ontario, Canada and recently used Bev satallite, the dish is still positioned the same.           |

| Re: Please help hello there limey, welcome to fta-gods. First of all there is no fix for Bell as they moved to a diffrent encyption method. so Bell TV is not possible for the time being. You may have to move you dish to a diffrent provider Like DN pointing at 110 or 119 depending on what kind of sat you have. They are also going to move to the same encyption method also. In the near future To setup the reciver you have to setup the antenna setup according to the sat you are pointing at and then use a USB stick to load the files VIA "reciver Upgrade from the menu and then scan the sats Do some reading and and searching as the units load the same way VIA USB stick

| Re: Please help Ya, go with DN 110--119, What kind of dish are you using? We can give you the setting for that dish, if you need them?? Your at the right site, so anything you need, just ask!! Satguy2 |

Re: Please help  thanks Dannyzzz, I have the cordinates to aim the dish and have downloaded the VSMAX file to a stick. Do I just insert the stick into the USB of the reciever.Quote:
