FTA receiver help

I own 2 receivers, coolsat 5000 and captive works 800 which i am just comparing eachother right now. I notice that when i download the channels, i am getting a fair bit more on the coolsat???
-Coolsat gets from 101- say 300, plus a bunch in 300s, 400's, 500s and some odd ones beyond...
-The captive works is receiving 101-250.

Am i doing something wrong or perhaps missing something here?

well it all depends
what sat are you aimed at?
And some of the receivers treat the sat radio channels as tv station.
CW doesn't do that as it sorts them correctly.

I am aimed at 119.

You should be getting a total of 262 tv and 168 sat radio channels from 119

If you are not able to pick up more then a few channels then your dish may be out of alignment.

Each receiver is different in how it picks up the signals and while you are getting more on one receiver another may not get the same number of channels.
Use the receiver that is picking up the lesser amount and realign your dish until it is picking up all of the channels
