FTA FTA receiver Trying to Understand ?

Hello, My name is Bryan i'm new here thanks for reading this
I have subscription with GlobalTV which provides us with International channels from asia for $45 dollars a month. I recently went to a friends house and saw that he has all these channels i have for free including cable TV. I asked him how he got this, and he said he did it through FTA receiver.

So my questions is if i buy any FTA receiver, and replace my existing Receiver which has a credit card type deal that needs to be inserted into the receiver to get the channels. Will the FTA Receiver pick up the international channels i'm looking for ?

Also with my current system everything is in place. A satellite is already installed outside the house, do i need a new dish or can i use the same. Also which receiver do yall think i should get thats under $150 that will get the job done, and which website shoudl i buy it from ...

to get free to air channels you will need a fta unit and you can find one at good prices with out sponsor let them know you find them in this site .

about the dish type we may need little more info of what type you using now.
maybe someone that test with one of those GlobalTV can reply here and help you i don't have a way to test those dish but sure someone here does.
if you don't know what type of dish you using you could describe best you can or upload a picture of the dish .


please take your time to read some information on how to get free to air channels there is a lot of information already post in this site.

members here post a lot of files i sure you can find one for unit of your choice to find more channels.

yes your dish will work with a fta box if it works with your sub than it will work! for a fta box yes i would go to our site sponsor!! if you get it off of ebay or small shop you just might get a clone or some junk!! so to be safe about it and know you are getting grade A stuff site sponsor for sure!! now you are going to hear all kinds of stuff from people on what type for stb to get we all have ones that we all like BUT for what you want i would say an i-con or satopia!! so far they ARE the best for G.C. blacklist put them on top for G.C.!! i know alot of people that buy this brand of stb just because of less down time!! files are very very fast for the satopia and G.C. there is a thing going on about it people saying blacklists mom,wife and kids watch G.C. dont know if it is true or not but the support is like no other when it comes to this sat!! so as for G.C. SATOPIA AND I-CON is what you need to look at for sure!! but others will say buy this because they own it!! i own 13 diffrent brands now and STILL say satopa and i-con for G.C.

Hello, thanks for Responding very fast. I looked for the I-COn brand in sponsor site , but was unable to find it. Also my Dish is about 2 times larger than DIsh network dish with 1 LNB. Can i also maybe get US channels if i buy this I-COn the other one. Where can i get this brand?
Also , thank you in advance. i was gonna buy one from Ebay, but thanks to you i wont.

I was looking at this one Viewsat Pro USB PVR. Will this pick up my International channels?

a good basic pvr receiver would be the cnx nano thats on front page

the dish you have you can only get G.C with it you will need another dish with two lnbs dn dish like dishpro or dish500 or a dtv dish with two lnbs will work too. the one that you have now is for real true free to air like G.C or 123w. cnx nano is a grade A pick!! i dont have one yet but from what i have heard from others it is one of the best!! if i was going to get a pansat it would be a 250sm!! as i said there is alot of good picks out there! viewsat is great too. but one thing i would by from site sponser!! you buy off of ebay you never know what you are going to get!! and just because you have pay pal your still not safe!! if you get a clone and put 3rd party bin in it and it goes kaput on you you lost your money!! you get NO refund!! a site sponer will NEVER do this to you!!! i must stress again NEVER stick you with a clone!! there is ALOT of clones flying around!! i learnd two pansat 2700 clones off of ebay!! cnx nano and viewsats are very good stbs they are in the top10 receivers out there you cant go wrong with them !!
