| I’ve been using my ViewSat 9000HD + 8PSK to watch DN from 61.5W, 110W and 118.7W. No problems at all. I recently installed new 33” antenna and pointed it to Galaxy25 (97W) to get GlobeCast. Connected the cable to my VS9000HD, set the Galaxy25 Satellite, ran autoscan. Found many channels - everything’s fine. So, right now, my receiver has all together four satellites set and active. My questions are: Can I interchangeably switch drops from GC and DN (having receiver turned off using the switch in the back, of course)? What will happen, if, having signal from GC, I will try to watch one of the DN channels? Of course, I will get no picture, but is it safe? Same, when connected DN drop, I’ll try the GC channel. Hope to get an advise soon, before I burn my LNBs! |

| You didn't tell us your setup. but will try and answer your question anyway. 97 should be on a port on your switch. and set up accordingly. It is the switch that goes from one sat to the other. When you accomplish this you should have no problem's. |

| Actually, I don’t have any switches. I have two separate drops that run to my receiver: one from GC antenna and one from the original DN setup. |

| It would be better to get switch, then you wouldn't have change back and forth.

| If you have 2 separete drops and don't want a switch outside you might want to get a A/B switch at rat shack and when you want to switch just through the switch at the receiver. |

I was actually thinking about the quoted solution. I already have two drops in the room, so A/B switch seems logical. I have one more question: When switching drops using A/B switch, will I not burn LNBs? Do I still need to shut off the receiver with the switch in the rear before using A/B? |

| No but if you want to be safe you can always turn the power off. It is a break before make switch. |
