| I noticed that my receiver Nfusion nuvenio NV HD gets a humming (buzz) noise when I plug the coax cable coming from a Dish 1000.2, it is more audible When increase the volume. The buzz noise continues even when I turn the receiver off and CRT TV still on.( receiver to TV using Composite RCA cable) I Unplugged the coax cable and the humming noise goes away. Since the receiver supports ATSC tuner then I installed regular outdoor antenna, and works fine, no buzz, no humming noise even if I turn up the volume. I know the noise is cause by the coax cable connection, besides I keep loosing the signal. So, I check the coax cable terminal conections with a Voltmeter and it comes out with 0.60 VDC, Is that the normal volts coming out ? I ground it, by getting a surge protector that has a coax in/out and the buzzing is less noisy but still there. The buzzing noise sounds like overvoltage Dish 1000.2 was installed by Satellite Installer this month, maybe he didn't do a good job. ![]() Any help is greatly appreciated |

| Check out cable unhook it at the LNB and see it it is still there. If it is maybe a bad connector if not it is probably coming from the lnb. Also you might try changeing out your RCA audio cables. It is hard to say what it actualy is not being there good luck |

| You might want think about a DPP 44 switch as 1000.2 is little power hungry..

| Thanks Cougar I already check and replace the RCA Cables, Tweak the receiver settings. I even Opened the receiver to see if there was a ground short circuit on the board. I have'nt done the LNB testing yet as you suggest it; since I know little about dishes, I dish installer did the installation for me but I'm ready to conclude he didn't do a good job. XRange, I thought 1000.2 didn't need a DPP44? Can I buy/install one of those Sat amplifier instead? (about US$3 to US$15 each) BTW, On a Dish 1000.2, Can Anyone check coax cable terminal conection (receiver input side) with the Voltmeter and see what Volts comes ou? I got 0.60 Volst (DC) Thank you. | Voltage should be 13 to 18 VDC depending on what polaitry transponder is. You will get different opinions on the sat amplifiers depending on who you ask. I personaly have had little luck with them. Unfortunatly they also amplify the noise also. I have mine on a shelf in the garage. If you do add 1 install it as close to the LNB as you can. |

| runner 1, yu have a defective coax cable, the ground sheath is probably broken somewhere, i would not run it too long like that, you are lible to fry your reciever, change that coax at once, & ur 1000 dish, is that a superdish, i have not put any up but i have 1 in the carport, with 2 single lnb,s& 1 dual for 105 which 1 guy told me is no longer bieng used, hd maybe, i will find out for sure, but in the meantime change that coax, if any other problems just let us know we will get back to you |

I did find some irreverseable twisting on the coax cable, I couldn't untwist it, which keep me wondering about that. ![]() For right now I have it disconnected, but I definetely follow your advice until I replace that cable. Meantime, I hope my Dish 1000.2 is safe. We are having rain storm right now, but I'll keep you post it once I replace the coax cable. ![]() Thanks for the warning. | i am glad to help, I hope to really want to help people out. I have used a lot of cable over the years & some cable is better than others, some cable only uses a foil on th groung sheath, just under the outside cover for groung, & if it gets twisted, kinked, etc it just might break that ground. take care. |

| go to radioshack, & buy you however much you think you might need, 50 or 100 ft, take it home & hook it up, i bet your noise will go away, if it does not, take out that diplexer on both ends & hook up both sides of your dual tuner reciever not using that tuner splitter & see what happens |
