| I'm new to satellite dishes. All I have is a roof antenna connected to an old 50 years old TV right now. The TV is going and so, been looking around for a TV and while at it for a way to set up an FTA receiver. Been thinking seriously about the nFusionHD but my questions are, if I want as many English channels as possible, do you recommend to get a dish with a motor or simply a sish with 4,5,6 LNB's ? which is better, reception wise and reliability. Is the size of the dish, like 39" better reception than a 33" dish ? If I want to get channels from different satellites, does it mean that I have to "flash" my machine every time for the BIN of this particular satellite that I aim at or do I need only one BIN for all of them ? Thanks. |

| Thanks. As for the LNB's or motor option, what do you recommend ? I've seen 4 connectors LNB's with linear and circular plugs. Desn't matter to me if it's American or English. Another thing I was wondering about, since the nFusion has PVR , since it connects to the internet to update, does it mean that if I record a show, let's say 1 hour show that I will be using about 3GB of bandwidth from my internet account ? If I record 1 show a day, that means about 3GB X 30 days = 90GB of bandwidth a month? Last edited by ned2021; 04-14-2009 at 06:43 PM. |

| for what you are looking for bro go with the 39" dish the bigger the better and no with true free to air you never need to load a bin again!! now with dn every time thy hit it with a ecm then yes you need to load a file BUT only for them NOT the true free to air!! you need to go to the free to air section at the bottom of the main sites page and do some reading there. i my self have one old primestar dish on 123w that's the sat you want!! i don't like the motorized set up my self because it takes time for it to move over to the sat with what channel you want to see but every one has there own thing thy like and dislike!! i myself have a five dish setup with a big disq switch(a dish farm is what we call it) theres no lag time !! as for what box to buy you need to read and see what other members say look at the pros and cons of each receiver!!

| I looked around and the only thing that I could find are those that says they could get 82,91,110,119,118,129 like here: I couldn't find any dishes that could get 123w as you suggested. What am I supposed to be looking for and where or how ? Quote:

| If you want HD and I would start with a dish that gets you 110,119,129 that will get you most evrything DN broadcast's. I havea Dish 1000 for that You don't saay where you are located at if you live in the East you might want to pick one up that get's 61.5, 110, 119 Both 61.5 and 129 are almost a mirror image of programing 61.5 being for the East coast and 129 for the West coast. Wow a 50 year old TV must be the old vacume tube type didn't know any was still left heat was a big problrm with that type and had to fix them all the time. |

| I'm in Montreal, Quebec. So, that dish from eBay should do then ? It doesn't mention 61.5 but it mentions 129 which you say is a mirror of 61.5. But how come I can't get the recommended 123 or could I ? Quote:

| Just ordered a 39" dish with a "quad dual polarity LNB"( so I could receive linear and circular reception) and a motor( since I don't know what satellites I could get, I figured the motor would be able to find them all). That's all I could afford for now. Thanks for everyone's comments. |
